Its official, I’m now one of those annoying old guys who compare everything to when they were young. Yesterday I filled the gas tank for $40.17 and my first thought was “ I once bought a car for $40.”

Heey. Quit bitching. Here in sunny Scotland, fuel is now hittin £1.20 a litre. About $2.40 American dollars. Or four of those suckers - $9.20 - for a US imperial gallon.

It cost me $80 the other day to fill up the tank. On my Mini!

(And it cost over $20 to put 15 liters into my motorbike...!)

I drive a diesel F250 truck, how about $4.05 per gallon. $80 - $90 to fill up.... Oh well, it does do a good job of pulling the horse trailer.
