Lotusphere is a bit like sky diving - it's more fun than people should be allowed to have. It feels like I talked with hundreds of fun people who share my past. Like coming back to college after a long summer away. We talk about things in the past many which I'd forgotten and people I'll never forget. I met new people and learn new things. If I didn't talk with you at Lotusphere, I'm sorry and there is always next year. Microsoft require everyone to get personal development training every year and I've convinced them that Lotusphere is the right training for me. One highlight was when Ed Brill called my cell phone to ask me to be a spoof contestant in the "Lotusphere Idols" session. Without a clue about what he was asking, I agreed. The opportunity to be back on stage at Lotusphere was an unexpected joy. We had fun with my 2 minutes on stage as "Andrew Garth" from "RedWood West". Several folks in the audience said they didn't recognize me with my sun glasses and ball cap acting like a very bad presenter until they heard my voice. Andrew Garth said things like "wow there is quite a VISTA from up here". and "Redwood West is like the land of Oz" (think Ozzie) However the funniest comment came from the panel with "the Outlook for Office is limited". Rob Novak with his spoof character singing topped everyone. Thank you to everyone who worked on this session. And my hat is off to the serious presenters it takes a lot to get up in front of hundreds of people. The closing session rocked. Already I'm looking forward to next years Lotusphere. Maybe I can do a join session on Connections and Sharepoint?
