Five years ago, on April fools day, I collected a check for 17 weeks pay and signed up for unemployment after being selected as surplus skills by IBM. So much has happened in those five years. Life is an adventure but sometimes we need a kick in the butt to make changes and take chances. Looking back it looks like I needed that kick. So I'm grateful for IBM. Still I miss my friends back in my old life...even if I do get to go to Lotusphere every year. So April fools day is a day to celebrate. So "Happy April Fools Day!"

I think IBM is stupid for getting rid of you. I've been to lotusphere a few times and enjoyed the sessions you put out. You were always a good resource for doing crazy stuff with Lotus Script. I was impressed with the PC inventory app you wrote and have kept your name in the back of my mind ever since. I was searching for some useful insite on doing xml parsing because Notes 6.5 is still stuck in jdk1.3 and thought you might of had something posted. I then found out you got the can and thought what a bummer. Oh well IBM's loss and Microsoft's gain. Anyway thanks for you support over the years and best of luck in your new adventure.
