PermaLink Redmond workshop for Notes professionals date is being moved03/10/2010 11:08 AM
We need to do the Redmond Notes professionals update on Microsoft products and technologies in the next fiscal year. It was going to be May but now we are aiming for September. Help me pick a date. And sorry for the folks who were counting on May. The good news is we should easily have the money to do this after July : )

PermaLink Excel tip that I just figured out...it's way cool...and very old03/03/2010 03:21 PM
PermaLink Just finished the draft of my third article for www.LotusUserGroup.org02/23/2010 10:44 AM
My first article on www.LotusUserGroup.org is published however the plan is to have four articles.   The second one is in the can read to publish and now the third one is in the hands of the editors.  Its always time to celebrate when completing an article.  We all think of ourselves as good writers when we read our stuff.  However, we forget how hard it is to create it.  Now if I can just get the last one done while learing everyting there is to know about all the Microsoft 2010 products from a developers point of view, I'll have time to create my presentations for the View conference in May.

PermaLink 2010 Microsoft products training tailored for Notes developers!02/19/2010 08:10 AM
I'm working with a Microsoft training company that is creating new training for the wave of 2010 products coming out from Microsoft. I've convinced them to create Notes developers specific training also. Why start from scratch with training when you can build on what you all ready know. They said that in previous courses, the Notes developers understood the concept much faster than others and the parallels are significant. So in a few months, we should see these courses on SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath and Integrationi with Notes. Maybe I can arrange a beta test of the materials on Notes developer?

PermaLink Presenting at The View Developers conference Boston :)02/09/2010 12:35 PM
The View Developer conference is still going after all these years.  The next one is in Boston May 12-14 and it looks like I'll be a speaker talking about integration.  http://lotusdeveloper2010.com/eview/dev10bos.nsf/lookup/ConfOverview?OpenDocument

It will be great seeing Boston and the old Lotus/Iris folks again.  I'll bring my rollerblades and sky diving equipment.  If you are going to be in the area, let me know.

PermaLink Great time at Lotusphere 201001/25/2010 12:22 PM
As usual, Lotusphere was a blast for me.  It was my 13th Lotusphere immersed with Notes professionals.  When you do the math with everyone who have been to 17 or even only 10 Lotuspheres, it means we are getting older.  However, it didn't mean I got any more sleep.  Its so much fun to be surrounded by folks who "get Notes".  And the stories we tell that no one else would understand (like Garnet).

I just want to thank everyone.  The Notes community has always treated me like family.  Hopefully I can arrange another Redmond workshop so we don't have to wait a year to see each other again.

Oh in catching up on my mail, I found this...just an fyi

PermaLink Free Microsoft on-line training01/17/2010 01:55 PM
Microsoft marketing wanted to do something for Lotus Professionals.  After a few impractical ideas, they decided to give free training vouchers.  So the budget could swing 500 slots and the program has an e-mail address to send a request for the vouchers.  There will be a random selection for those folks who e-mail.  However, I got VIP cards for Lotus professional to sign up for the training.  So if you are looking for Microsoft training, find me at Lotusphere.   You have to sign up with a code before February 17, 2010.    Some of these collections of courses cost $300 so I want them to go to folks who will really use them.

Here is a blog where it is mentioned (in the middle)
